Hi Manal,

If you look for an up-to-date presence server, use OpenSIPS 1.5 - you 
can get the debian packages (see 
http://www.opensips.org/Resources/Downloads#osipmi) via the ATP repo 
from http://www.opensips.org/apt/

be sure you install the opensips-presence package also.

For configuration part, check the presence tutorial - 
http://www.opensips.org/Resources/DocsPapPa
