      OpenSIPS 4.0.0

      goes from beta to stable

*It got stable!*

There were two full months of work, of testing, of reporting and of
fixing, but we did it! The *OpenSIPS 4.0* release passed all the tests
and exams and now it is labelled as a stable release, the new flagship
of the OpenSIPS project.
Note that 4.0 is the _first release in the 4.0 family_, opening the path
for radical enhancements and improvements
<https://blog.opensips.org/2025/07/23/opensips-4-x-the-next-evolution-step/>.

*4.0 Philosophy*

The OpenSIPS 4.0 release addresses old limitations, deprecated designs
or burning needs we accumulated across years. Concepts we had from day 1
(in SER at that time) were reworked or removed. Also new concepts were
added, to align OpenSIPS with the challenges of the current days.

So key features :

  * TCP framework re-design
  * TLS support refreshing
  * Versatility (dynamic forking, bond interfaces)
  * Monitoring and profiling, script and code level
  * More integration (proxy protocol, IMS interop, WEB3 auth)
