            There were two full months of work, of testing, of reporting
            and of fixing, but we did it! The <b>OpenSIPS 4.0</b>
            release passed all the tests and exams and now it is
            labelled as a stable release, the new flagship of the
            OpenSIPS project. <br>
            Note that 4.0 is the <u>first release in the 4.0 family</u>,
            opening the path for <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://blog.opensips.org/2025/07/23/opensips-4-x-the-next-evolution-step/">radical
              enhancements and improvements</a>. 
            <p><font color="#003300"><font size="+1"><b>4.0 Philosophy</b></font></font><br>
            </p>
            <p>The OpenSIPS 4.0 release addresses old limitations,
              deprecated designs or burning needs we accumulated across
              years. Concepts we had from day 1 (in SER at that time)
              were reworked or removed. Also new concepts were added, to
              align OpenSIPS with the challenges of the current days.</p>
