My error. It appears I got it from the opensips repo not debian.

However I have now downloaded the source version and compiled it and 
installed that instead.

There are some minor differences such as the compiled from source 
installs in /usr/local/etc. I expect that's compile switches. Plus I'll 
have to manually make it a systemd service.

I also noticed the module directory is now flat while most examples I 
can find have a directory hierarcy under the modules root directory.

I now have to iteratively integrate the dbtext sections into the script 
and do some more testing.

My objective fairly quickly is to move to LDAP user/phone authentication 
and groups. I can generate my own schema based on inetorgperson but is 
there any well known ldap schema for sip management?
