Are you *completely* sure that your telco requires just one Via? I've already 
listened to that stupid argument from a carrier, and this is a typical reply 
when the carrier has no idea of what it's talking about.

A proxy cannot remove a second Via (if so, how to route responses from the 
carrier back to the users???).

Your telco is a pain and IMHO the best you can do is changing of provider.
