I don't remember it very well, but I expect it should be:

   sip:a at ex.com

Read RFC 3880:
  http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3880

CPL is a standard (based on XML) so if you learn from this RFC (the
real specification) you can programmr your own CPL's which will work
perfectly on your OpenSIPs.

Read also about the CPL module, of course.
