<div dir="ltr">I am doing some testing using Cisco 8000 and 9000 series IP phones.  In the configuration file for the phones there is an XML tag for &quot;processNodeName&quot;.  This is what the phones register to.  I can use a hostname like <a href="http://sip.example.com">sip.example.com</a> but the phone always resolves it to IP and uses the IP in the REGISTER and INVITE.  There are a few other tags like &quot;authenticationURL&quot; and &quot;proxyServerURL&quot; that I&#39;ve tried filling in but I seem to get the same behavior regardless of whether or not these tags are populated.
