There were several fixes, mainly related to error handling. Now,
considering that the DB connections are shared between modules
(inside the same process), maybe the faulty module was not the
presence, but in other module.<br>

Anyhow 1.4 is really ancient version and not officially supported
at all, so I strongly suggest to move on with a newer version.<br>
