Hello,<br><br>1) open a terminal window (click on the terminal icon)<br>2) into the terminal, become root (eg: type "su -", without the quotes)<br>3) then edit the file, eg: type "nano /etc/opensips/opensips.cfg" without the quotes<br>
<br>But please, believe me, you cannot go far in opensips if you don't know linux. It's much much better if you get a good book or course on Linux, and when you will feel comfortable enough you come back to opensips.<br>

Hello everyone,<br>

I am trying to access opensips.cfg by typing its path in the Terminal tool<br>
in Fedora 15 to modify its parameter<br>

As follows:/usr/src/opensips-1.7.1-tls/etc/opensips.cfg<br>

and whenever I do that I got Permission denied message although I'm logged<br>
in as the root user.<br>
<br>

Can any one help me please to know how to access and modify the<br>
opensips.cfg, what is my mistake I'm a beginner<br>
