Try this:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/fs/suid_dumpable
echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/core_uses_pid
echo "/tmp/core.%e.%u.%t" > /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern
You should have the core files in /tmp
