Hi Guys,
I'm trying to use "natping_socket" parameter in nathelper module to spoof the source ip of the nat ping from the backup server. But I can't start opensips with that param set and its failing with following error. The socket IP I specify is available on the server.
modparam("nathelper", "natping_socket", "10.3.1.251:5060")
ip add output:
4: enp4s2: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP group default qlen 1000
link/ether 52:f2:09:00:00:89 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 10.3.1.251/24 brd 10.3.1.255 scope global secondary enp4s2
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
opensips error log :
May 15 14:55:33 voip2-sip23b /usr/sbin/opensips[14350]: ERROR:nathelper:init_raw_socket: cannot create raw socket
May 15 14:55:33 voip2-sip23b /usr/sbin/opensips[14350]: ERROR:core:init_mod: failed to initialize module nathelper
This is some what related to this thread [OpenSIPS-Users] Using Contact replication and HA, But I couldn't come up with a conclusion as discussion there wasn't complete. Is there a limitation in using this function ? There's not much info on the doc. I even tried with different ports other than 5060, But result is still the same.
