"drop_requests - Returns the number of requests dropped even before
entering the script routing logic."
Looking at the code, this seems to be false, since the "drop requests"
may also get bumped on each forward() failure (no corresponding socket,
bogus proto, missing proto module, send failed, etc.). The same will
happen if you have a positive blacklist match (moreover, no error gets
printed out in this case).
The other place where this gets called is, indeed, before the script is
even run. This includes filtered ACKs to locally generated replies,
unmatched anycast CANCEL messages which get broadcasted in the tm
cluster and messages blocked by pike.
I guess the docs should be rewritten to include the above, somehow...
