Might need update documentation.
I tested Mongodb URI in following formats
modparam("usrloc", "cachedb_url", 
"mongodb://node1:27017,node2:27017/opensips_prod01.userlocation")

or

modparam("usrloc", "cachedb_url", 
"mongodb://node1:27017/opensips_prod01.userlocation")

they all works. Meaning you can add multiply mongos for redundancy an 
HA purpose without adding any extra layers in between.
