Yes your answer is clear, thank you. I will do some experimentation but I
think I may run into some issues. I am talking to some Cisco equipment
which does not like the ;transport= suffix in the request URI so the socket
specification is really a preferred option.

In my case too I also want to be able to detect an internal 477 (for
example if t_relay with TCP should fail and the TCP can be changed to UDP).
I guess I could still catch the t_relay failure and just call use_next_gw()
in dispatcher.
