i guess we are indeed saying this. but i think i am also saying 
something more: you can even virtualize real-time stuff if you have 
enough total CPU available, because usually the CPU distribution 
through the VM scheduler will be good enough even for VoIP real-time 
media processing.

of course, if you are spending one thread per media stream, then the 
two level scheduling (VM + guest OS) will not work very well. how does 
  sylkserver/pjmedia do it? one thread (master port/clock generator) 
per conference, one in total, or one per call?
