Hi Sam,
first you make kind a confusion between a call and a transaction. A
transaction is one request + all its replies . A call is a set of
transactions (for creating, changing and terminating a SIP session / call).
Now, opensips (if not using dialog module) is not dialog aware - it does
not know what transaction belong to what call. Because of this (there is
no call state), a restart during a call will not affect the ongoing calls.
On the other hand, the transactions (for INVITEs, BYEs, etc) are not
persistent during restarts.
