SUBSCRIBE is not generated by a proxy or server. SUBSCRIBE is sent by
users/phones wanting to subscribe to the presence of other user.
PUBLISH can be generated by an user/phone ("Hi, I'm online now!") or
by a presence user agent (i.e.: pua_usrloc module in OpenSIPS).
But sincerelly, I can't understand how you want to get OpenXCAP
running if you have no idea of how SIP/SIMPLE presence works. Before
trying to run such a complex scenario with rich presence and so, you
must read the RFC's about SIP presence (look for SIP SIMPLE RFC's in
Google). When you understand them, you can look into OpenSIPS/OpenXCAP
documentation to know how they implement these specifications. If not,
you will remain asking strange questions about all these subjects
(i.e.: "I was thinking that PUBLISH and SUBSCRIBE request are
automatically generated upon registration of a client, am I
correct?").
Sorry, but first of all: read read read. And don't look for "magic
howto's" in Google, just read the specifications.
