Hi, I configure OpenSIPS to run as "opensips" user:group (this is an user who
has no shell asigned).

Now as root I do:
---------
  ~# opensipsctl monitor
  /usr/lib/opensips/opensipsctl/opensipsctl.fifo: line 89: /tmp/opensips_fifo:
  Permission denied <-- translation
---------

The FIFO pipe is:
---------
  /tmp# ls -l
  total 860K
  prw-rw---- 1 opensips opensips 0 2008-11-10 00:11 opensips_fifo|
----------

I can't understand why **root** user cannot read/write into the pipe. But even
if I configure:
----------
  modparam("mi_fifo", "fifo_name", "/tmp/opensips_fifo")
  modparam("mi_fifo", "fifo_mode", 0777)
----------
I can't run "opensipsctl" as root.

How to handle it? Thanks.
