Hi, Dan!

Indeed, currently there is no way to add extra information to the events raised. We'll have to find a different mechanism to do that, so if you really need this, open a new feature request.
In the meantime, I will close this bug as it is solved.

PS: have you tried using the dialog variables ($dlg_val()) to store your information and catch it in event route?
