Hi @hydrosine , there is an extensive fix available on master branch see (444b680) - I did several tests, but if you could do the same, it will be great. 
I know the report is for 1.11.x - if you cannot do the backport, let me know and I will do it for you. But before doing an official fix on 1.11, I want to have your confirmation that my fix id addressing your problems.
