I also had the same question some time ago... (http://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.opensips.org/msg02520.html).

Maybe Anca Vamanu can give us an update if this feature will become available in the future? I think it is really reasonable to cache variables just as long as the client registration is still valid.

When trying to call cache_store with an avp as the timeout param I get a syntax error on startup.  I would like to tack the timeout to the Expires value of a registration and was wondering if support for using an avp could be added.  I was trying to use $(avp(s:expire-secs){s.int}) for the parameter.

By the way, I've been using the refer scenario with b2bua on opensips 1.6.  It works extremely well.  My thanks to everyone who contributed to the development of this module and especially Anca Vamanu.
