Initial Comment:
The reference opensips.cfg calls check_to() and check_from() in the code blocks that do authentication.  As soon as the code blocks are uncommented to actually enable auth, opensips will start failing with an error like this:

ERROR:uri:obsolete_fixup_0: You are using one of these obsolete functions: "check_to", "check_from", "does_uri_exist","get_auth_id". They have been renamed with the "db_" prefix.

This can be confusing to novice users, especially given that db_check_to() and db_check_from() don't seem to be documented.
