Hi Alex,

It is not very clear to me what is the problem with presence and 
polycom, snom phones that you described.
Presence module does not support only online/offline status, but any 
kind of status. What it does is to store the presence information sent 
in a Publish and then use exactly that in the Notify. So, the status 
issue is limited only by the phones capabilities.
I have not tested myself presence with Polycom and I am not sure that 
the body is the standard one. The problem might be with the 
interoperability between phones if the presence body used by one is not 
recognized by the other.
